At 5:50pm yesterday Tasmania Police and Tas Fire Service were called to a fire at the Big W Store at Channel Court Kingston.  A fire had been deliberately lit in the camping section of the store resulting in minor fire damage to stock in that area.  The store was evacuated and the fire was quickly extinguished, restricting most damage to smoke and water damage estimated at approximately $30,000.  No one was injured.

A 15 year old youth from Kingston was interviewed by police and will be proceeded against under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.  Police are seeking to locate a second male youth in relation to the matter.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime-stoppers on 1800 333 000
