Reward for information – murder of Simon Crisp

The Tasmanian Government has approved a reward of up to $50,000 for information  leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Simon Crisp.

Simon Crisp was murdered at the rear of the Marrawah Tavern in the early hours of Saturday 13 July 2013.  His death has been the subject of an intensive Police investigation since that time.

“The investigation into the murder of Simon Crisp remains open and ongoing however information has all but ceased concerning this matter,” said Detective Inspector Robert Gunton.

“We are hopeful that the provision of this reward will prompt anybody with credible information to come forward.”

“The investigation team is certainly of the view that others are aware of the person who is responsible for  the murder of Simon Crisp.

“It may be that their personal circumstances to date have not permitted them to contact police.  We are hopeful that the reward will motivate them to provide the information,” said Detective Inspector Gunton.

Payment of the reward, or any portion thereof, shall be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of Police.
