Following the report of an Aggravated Armed Robbery at the Valern Hotel Bottle Shop at 7.30pm on Monday 14/7/14, police investigations identified two (2) suspects who have been charged in relation to this incident. An 18 year old male from Risdon Vale and a 17 year old male from Gagebrook have been interviewed and charged by police. They were remanded in custody to appear at the Hobart Court of Petty Sessions on Thursday, 17/7/14. They will be jointly charged with aggravated armed robbery and offences associated with using a stolen vehicle during this incident.

Police investigations are continuing to identify the driver of the stolen vehicle (grey Toyota Rav 4) used during the robbery. That vehicle was located by police burnt out in Talone Street, Lindisfarne shortly after the robbery.
