Unlawfully Set Fire to Property

Around 3:35am on Thursday 13/11/2014 a passing motorist observed a light aircraft ablaze on the Lyell Highway Bronte Park, approximately 400metres west of the intersection with the Marlborough Highway.

The aircraft was being used to drop fertilizer on nearby properties during the day, Wednesday 12/11/2014 and was being stored overnight at the property at Bronte Park. The estimated cost of damage is $150,000.00.

The fire is believed to have been lit intentionally and the matter is currently being investigated by members of the Bridgewater Criminal Investigation Branch.
