Wounding (26-Nov)

On Wednesday 26 November 2014 at approximately 8pm Burnie police were called to a disturbance at the Burnie Lodge at 14-16 Main Rd Wivenhoe.

Upon arrival, police observed a 19 year old man acting in an aggressive and disorderly manner, which resulted in him injuring himself.

A second man, aged 46, contacted police at the scene; he was bleeding from a throat injury.

It is alleged that the 19 year old had assaulted the older man with an unknown item.

Both men were staying at the property and were known to each other.

They were transported to the Burnie North West Regional hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
