Recently several incidents have occurred where counterfeit $50 notes have been tendered to businesses in the Devonport Area. The notes in question are of a poor quality and on close inspection are obviously counterfeit. They all carry the same serial number of GK05371091.

Police ask that the public be aware of these notes, and if they have had any of these notes tendered to them, to notify police.
