At 11pm on Friday 5th December 2014 uniform police and CIB executed a search warrant at a room at a Launceston Hotel following information provided and an investigation in to an incident earlier in the day.

As a result of this search, police located approximately 225 grams of Methylamphetamine with a street value of approximately $225,000, a large quantity of cash and other drug related items.

A 24 year old female and a 40 year old male, both of Melbourne, were arrested at the scene and have been charged and detained to appear in the Launceston Court of Petty Sessions on Saturday 6th December in relation to Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.
