The following significant events are planned for 2009:

Cerebral Palsy Tasmania Mobile Phone Appeal

The hugely successful Charity Trust Mobile Phone Appeal held in 2008 collected over 1,000 old and disused mobile phones for Cerebral Palsy Tasmania. This Appeal will be held again in 2009 on a State-wide basis concluding in August. Old and disused mobile phones can be donated at Police Stations throughout the State.

2009 Charity Trust Bike Ride

The Tasmania Police Charity Trust Bike Ride is on again.  The 2009 ride will go from Hobart to Burnie, via the Great Lake and travel through all four police districts for a total distance of over 400 kilometres. Funds raised from the 2009 Bike Ride will be donated to Ronald McDonald House in Hobart who provide low cost accommodation close to Hobart hospitals for families of sick children who need to travel for specialised treatment.
