High Performance Making Tasmania Safe and Secure Place to Live
Tasmania Police service performance is one of the highest in the nation according to the latest Report on Government Services.
Tasmanian communities are satisfied with Tasmania Police service, and feel safe and secure living in Tasmania.
Service Performance
The service performance indicators revealed that:
- satisfaction with police services - is highest nationally
- police treating people fairly and equally - is highest nationally
- police performing job professionally - one of the highest nationally
Community Safety
Tasmanian communities’ perception indicators on safety and feeling safe at home alone, and in public places after dark, are the highest nationally.
Tasmania Police is very satisfied with the results, and is strongly committed in working towards the TasmaniaTogether 2020 set goal ‘Confident, Friendly and Safe Communities’
