Crime Prevention & Community Safety Council

The Crime Prevention & Community Safety Council:

promotes and assists the development, implementation and evaluation of crime prevention and community safety strategies
assists and supports the development of collaborative partnerships between the community and the three tiers of Government that focus on crime prevention and community safety
provides advice and information to the Tasmanian Government and the community on crime prevention and community safety issues
enhances community awareness of community safety issues and strategies
formally recognises outstanding Tasmanian crime prevention & community safety strategies through the annual Tasmanian Crime Prevention & Community Safety Awards in which certificates of merit are awarded
promotes grants and awards targeting crime prevention and community safety initiatives.
