2008 Australian Crime and Violence Prevention Awards

The 2008 Australian Crime and Violence Prevention Awards are open for nomination.  The Crime Prevention and Community Safety Council encourages government and non-government groups and organisations, as well as individuals who have made a significant contribution to a crime or violence prevention project in Tasmania, to nominate for an award. 

The awards total $130,000 and are designed to reward good practice in the prevention or reduction of violence and other types of crime in Australia.

The closing date for nominations for 2008 awards was 26 May 2008. Winners will be notified in September.
