Reward Offered In Bid To Solve John Thorn Murder

A $100 000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction in relation to the murder of John Lewis Thorn.

John Thorn, 59, was a father of two, grandfather and well known fisherman from Tasmania’s East Coast.

He went missing on Thursday 24th August 2006 and was found 2 days later murdered in dense scrub near Lake Leake after an extensive search by locals, Police and SES.

Anyone with information that may assist with the investigation, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or local Police Station.
