Tasmania Police requires applicants to meet high ethical and professional standards. These standards are detailed in the Trainee Selection Criteria.

To apply for selection, please complete all the relevant documentation and forward to Recruiting Services. When the application is received and processed, applicants will then be notified of their eligibility to take part in the selection process.

The progress of each application depends on many factors; therefore the time taken to finalise an application will vary significantly depending on the circumstances of the applicant. Applicants will be kept informed of the progress of their application and advised of what action is to be taken at each stage.

The progression of an application is conditional upon maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour. Applicants are to abide by the laws of Tasmania and those of any other Australian State or Territory.

The applicant is to advise Recruiting Services of any change to their work or study status as it transpires.
