Police are calling for witnesses following a two vehicle crash on Elizabeth Street, North Hobart, yesterday (13 June).

The crash, involving a white Nissan X Trail reg H25NZ and a silver Kia hatch reg FS5992, occurred at approximately 5:45pm on Elizabeth Street approximately 80m north of the Federal Street traffic lights.

Both vehicles were stationary at the lights immediately before the crash.

Police believe several other cars were stationary at the lights at the same time and would have witnessed the movements of the vehicles immediately prior to the crash.

The driver of a small white hatch spoke to one of the drivers involved but details were not obtained.
