Burglaries in Hobart overnight

 BURGLARIES IN HOBART AREA OVERNIGHT

 Two men have been apprehended and charged by police following a series of reports of home and motor vehicle burglaries in suburbs including Sandy Bay, South Hobart and North Hobart, last night.

The 17 year old and 18 year old have been jointly charged with Aggravated Burglary x 3, Burglary x 9, Stealing x 14 and Motor Vehicle Stealing.  The 18 year old has been charged separately with Aggravated Burglary, Possess Controlled Drug and Computer related Fraud x 2.  Both have been remanded to appear in court either tonight or tomorrow.

Police are grateful for the information from members of the public who assisted by promptly reporting suspicious men in the area.  This is also a timely reminder to ensure your doors are locked and property is secured and to remove any items of value from motor vehicles when they are not in use.
