Call for information following significant Huonville burglary

Kingston CIB is calling for witnesses following a significant burglary and stealing in the Huonville area over the long weekend.

 

Sometime over the Queen’s birthday long weekend (8-11June), a workshop on a rural property in Morrison’s Road, Huonville was unlawfully entered and a large amount of property worth around $30,000 was stolen.

 

A silver Toyota Hilux bearing registration plates F06ZC was also stolen from inside the shed.

 

This vehicle is fitted with a black steel bullbar with scrub bars around the front mudguards. The front right mudguard is painted in grey primer, and the passenger’s side has a green/yellow splash of paint which stands out against the grey. A white tool box is fitted to the tray and the vehicle has a builders rack.

 

On Monday 11 June 2018 a white Toyota Hilux dual cab, with a silver flat tray was seen in the area and may be connected to the burglary.

 

A large amount of specialist tools were stolen, including Mig welders, a plasma cutter, pipe bender, large compressor, trolley jack and a variety of Milwaukee battery powered drills, grinders and reciprocating saws. Additionally, two brand new hydraulic unit lift kits for tilt trays were stolen.
