Police are seeking witnesses following a fire at the rear of the BWS liquor store in Bridgewater which occurred in the early hours of this morning.

At 1:38 am today, police came across a fire that that was burning at the rear of the BWS liquor store in Green Point Road.

Members of the Tasmania Fire Service were alerted and the fire was quickly brought under control.  The fire was contained to a rubbish storage area at the rear of the business.

Investigators from Tasmania Police and TFS have commenced an investigation into the fire. The scene has been examined however the cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.

Police would like to hear from people who may have seen anyone suspicious in the area at the time of the fire.
