A 24 year old Somerset man has died after being struck by a falling limb while tree felling on a private property at Somerset today.

Police and emergency services were called to a property in Back Cam Road, Somerset, about 12.30pm in relation to a report that a man had been struck by a falling limb.

The 24 year old man was felling trees in the company of another man.

The 24 year is believed to have felled a large tree, which on impact, resulted in a large limb falling from another nearby tree.

CPR was performed until emergency services arrived, but he was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
