An East Devonport resident reported to Police late yesterday afternoon, 28 December 2011, that she had returned home after a number of days away to find possible evidence of a crime being committed at her residence in Illaroo Avenue, East Devonport.

Investigations conducted by Western District CIB, Western Forensic Services and Forensic Science Services Tasmania (FSST) at the scene have established that a male person has been murdered at the address.

The officer in charge of Western CIB Detective Inspector Robert Gunton said, “Two persons of interest are presently in custody and assisting police with enquiries”.
