Police were called to an address on Hill Street, West Hobart this morning following the discovery of potential human remains during building works being conducted on a private site.

The remains were examined by forensic officers and inquiries with local historians ascertained the site had previously been used as a cemetery by the old Wesley Church, with the last burial on site dating back to 1872.
