Substantial seizure of methylamphetamine from Hobart Airport

On 12 August 2016, as a result of a random search by a Tasmania Police drug detection dog, police arrested a 45 year old Hobart woman at the Hobart International Airport.

 

Police seized 2 ounces (56 grams) of methylamphetamine (ICE) which was concealed on the woman.

 

This significant seizure has an estimated street value of $56 000.

 

The woman has been charged with Trafficking in a Controlled substance and bailed to appear at the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
