Burnie Police have arrested three youths aged between 12 and 16 years for stealing three motor vehicles in Ulverstone and Burnie between 3.00pm and 4.15pm on Tuesday 15 August 2017.

Police were called to Stowport Road, Wivenhoe in relation to a single vehicle crash where witnesses report the driver had left the scene at 3.10pm. A short time later, police were called to a second single vehicle crash in Bird Street, Montello where witnesses reported seeing several youths flee the vehicle.  Police apprehended two of the youths in the Montello area just after 3.30pm and a third was located later that evening. No injuries were sustained by any person and the damage to the vehicles was minor.

All three youths have been charged and detained to appear in court at a later date.
