National Road Safety Week: 8-14 May

Police and emergency vehicles will be driving around with bright yellow ribbons next week – and there’s a very important reason why.

Next week is National Road Safety Week (8-14 May) and together with the Road Safety Advisory Council and the RACT, we’re reminding drivers to slow down and take care on our roads.

Police, like Sergeant Craig Harvey and Constable Robert Gunn of the Western District, will be targeting the ‘fatal five’ – speed, inattention, seatbelts, drink/drug driving and driving while tired.

Please keep safe on our roads and help make a difference.

If you’d like to show your support, free yellow National Road Safety Week ribbons will be available from Service Tasmania outlets and United service stations throughout the State.
