Members of the public can submit keyholder details which are stored in a database by Police. The purpose of this database is to hold information about a business which can be used in response to an incident involving that business.

Personal Information Protection Statement

Personal information will be collected from you for the purpose of inclusion on the key-holder register held by Tasmania Police to allow you to be contacted should it be necessary.

Your personal information will be used for the primary purpose for which it is collected and may be disclosed to your local council and contractors should it be necessary.  The information may be disclosed to other public sector bodies where necessary for the efficient storage and use of the information.

Personal information will be managed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004 and may be accessed by the individual to whom it relates on request to the Department of Police and Emergency Management.  You may be charged a fee for this service.
