Fees and Charges

National Police History Record Check	$45.00	As this type of check identifies records held in other jurisdictions, Tasmania Police encourages employers to request this type of check for employment purposes.
National Police History Record & Fingerprint Check	$120.00	This standard of check is required for applications for a Gaming Licence and also for some Security Guard positions and visa requirements.
Tasmania Police History Record Check	Free/$20.00	All persons are entitled to a free Tasmania Police History Record Check every 12 months. A second or any subsequent Tasmania Police Record Check within that period is charged at $20.00. As this type of check does not identify records held in other jurisdictions, employers are encouraged not to accept this type of check for employment purposes.
Volunteers	$5.00	Only applicable for a National Police History Record Check. Applicants must have the volunteer organisation authorise their application in Section 7 of the consent form.
