Law Getting Tougher on Drink-Driving

The Minister for Police and Emergency Management, David Llewellyn, introduced the Road Safety (Alcohol and Drugs) Amendment Bill 2007 to Parliament.

 “The changes will create authority for police to serve an ‘excessive drink driving notice’ on drivers who commit certain offences, resulting in the driver being immediately disqualified from driving,” Mr Llewellyn said.
