Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner
The Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner aims to help guide children and young people toward safe and enjoyable experiences online.
The Office provides the following:
- a range of up-to-date eSafety information and resources for children, parents and schools
- a cyberbullying complaint form for the reporting of serious cyberbullying material aimed at an Australian child under 18. The Office works with schools, parents and social media services to resolve the issue and get material removed
- an online content complaint form for the reporting of illegal or offensive online material (including child sexual abuse material). The Office works with an international network of hotlines (INHOPE) for the rapid removal of child abuse material and to prevent the re-victimisation of the children in the images.
