Kids Kick Start Targa 2015

On 26 April 2015 Tasmania Police, together with the Tasmania Police Charity Trust, participated in the 9th Annual Kids Kick Start Targa event in Launceston.

The event took place on the Launceston Country Club circuit and gave disabled or disadvantaged kids the opportunity to drive in Targa cars, Hotrods and marked Police vehicles.

Drivers volunteer their time and cars to take children around the circuit and  give them a ‘firsthand experience’ on what it is like to be in a real race car or Police car.

The event was enjoyed by kids and Police Officers alike and went a long way in strengthening the bond between disadvantaged youth and our boys and girls in blue.  It is an event that our officers look forward to each year and one that we are proud to support now and will continue to support in the future.

The Tasmania Police Charity Trust would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Allan Stevenson for organising this event, the Country Club for providing the venue and to the drivers and Police Officers that volunteered their time. We will see you all again next year!
