Mental Health Officers
If you are deaf, or have a hearing impairment or speech impairment, contact us through the National Relay Service, or text Tasmania Police’s radio room in non-emergency situations.
Mental Health Officers are the key liaison position between Tasmania Police and the many streams of mental health services in the community, including government and non-government services, hospitals, policy developers and practitioners. The position also provides advice to police officers and the executive on policy and strategy related to mental health.
The regional liaison officers liaise directly with local mental health agencies on a more operational level.
