Donation of two brand new PCYC mobile activity centres
Two brand new PCYC mobile activity centres (MACs) will be out and about from this week in West Coast and Bridgewater predominately, thanks to a generous donation by The Tasmania Police Charity Trust.
“The mobile activity centres offer outreach services throughout rural and remote areas of the State. They are a fully equipped resource, making the organisation of sports-days, Community BBQ’s and games, easy.
“The two new trailers boost the fleet of MAC’s to eight around the State, and will play an integral part of fostering relationships to break down communication barriers between young people, their families and the police officers serving those rural and remote communities,” said Deputy Commissioner Scott Tilyard.
The Tasmania Police Charity Trust donated $15,000 towards the purchase of new trailers.
They are an important part of community inclusion programs that the Charity Trust is proud to be able to support.
