Approximately 5:35am on Sunday 1^st May 2016 an Aggravated Armed Robbery occurred at the TRC Hotel, 131 Paterson Street, Launceston.  A man armed with a knife entered the hotel and assaulted a staff member, before stealing a quantity of money.  The staff member was treated at the Launceston General Hospital for a wound to the ear and other non life threatening injuries.

Launceston Detectives are following a specific line of enquiry.
