With the large amounts of traffic travelling to and from Hobart for the Taste of Tasmania, the Falls Festival and New Year’s celebrations, Tasmania Police are asking for all motorists to be patient and to allow plenty of time for their journey.   Again, take a break and rest for long journeys or when you are tired from the night before.   Importantly, do not attempt to overtake when it is not safe to do so.  This is an incredibly risky behaviour and with the high traffic flow will not shorten your trip.
