Police are calling for witnesses to yesterday’s fatality following a two vehicle crash on the Murchison Highway at Waratah.

A woman in her 20s died after the Nissan Pulsar she was driving in a northerly direction collided with a white Toyota Landcruiser travelling south.

The male driver and only occupant of the Land cruiser sustained suspected leg injuries. He is in a stable condition and was conveyed to the North West Regional Hospital for treatment.

The Murchison Highway was closed for several hours while crash investigation and forensic police officers examined the scene.

The female driver is yet to be formally identified.

Police would like to hear from any witnesses who may have been in the vicinity of the crash scene and can provide any information on the vehicles involved.
