Tasmania Police Celebration – Camp Clayton Fun Day

This year we are excited to be celebrating 100 years of Women in Policing in Tasmania.

The centenary year will be celebrated with a series of events across the state to celebrate 100 years since the first woman, Kate Campbell, joined Tasmania Police in October 1917.

The role of women in policing has changed significantly during the last 100 years and we’ll be telling the story of some of the challenges and achievements in that journey.

We want all regions of the state to be involved in the celebrations and one of our biggest events will be held in Ulverstone on April 1. It will be a hands-on display of policing equipment and information in partnership with Camp Clayton’s annual fun day.

Updates about the event will be posted on the Tasmania Police Facebook page as we get closer to the date!
