Fire at guest house in New Town

On Sunday the 1st of August 2010 police were informed by Tasmanian Fire Services of a structure fire at a guest house in New Town.

Tasmania Police acting on international student safety

Tasmania Police has implemented many measures to assist student safety. Acting Assistant Commissioner Colin Little, provided a statement to The Mercury newspaper on Thursday July 29 in response to a journalist’s questions.

Deceased male confirmed as missing person

On Thursday 29 July 2010, police confirmed that a deceased male was located at the base of a cliff at the bottom of Mirramar Park, Kingston.

Shortly after midday today, Police located the body of a male youth at the base of a cliff below Mirramar Park, Kingston.
