At 10.40 am today members of the Northern Road Safety Task Force detected a driver travelling at 150km/h in a 100km/h zone.

Members from Hobart and Bellerive Criminal Investigation Branches have today charged a 42-year-old in relation to the shooting at police in May.

Two charged with arson

Bridgewater Police and Eastern District Detectives have charged two males with Arson following a house fire at Herdsman Cove last night.

A 13-year-old male from Gagebrook has been charged with one count of armed robbery.

Fire at Devonport toilet block

Overnight on Wednesday 14th July 2010, a fire occurred within the public toilet block located on Coles Beach Road in Devonport.

Just after midnight on Thursday 15 July 2010 an offender attempted to gain entry through the roof of the BP Service Station at Claremont.

Motor vehicle burglaries – Burnie

There have been nine incidents of motor vehicle burglary over the past two weeks in areas of South Burnie, Wivenhoe and Upper Burnie.
