Kingston Police have today released further information about the man still wanted for assaulting a 15 year old girl in the Peter Murrell Reserve off Algona Road near Blackmans Bay on the afternoon of Thursday 20 January 2011.

Kingston CIB is appealing for information from members of the public about an assault on a 15 year old girl in the Peter Murrell Reserve off Algona Road near Blackmans Bay on the afternoon of Thursday 20 January 2011.

Body found in Launceston river

Shortly after 8 o’clock this morning a member of the public reported to police that they had observed what appeared to be a body floating in the North Esk River between the Tamar Street and Charles Street Bridges.

Wounding charge

On 19 January 2011 about 11.15pm police were called to an incident at Clarence Point Road, Clarence Point where a 47-year-old man had received multiple stab wounds to the torso and neck as a result of an altercation with a 41-year-old woman and a youth.

Stealing of Queensland flood donations

Hobart Police have charged a 23-year-old Hobart man with stealing donations for the victims of the Queensland floods.

Delivery of policing services to the community will be enhanced with the allocation of 30 extra frontline police officers throughout the State.

False reports of flooding in Invermay

Tasmania Police have been advised by the Launceston City Council today that there have been reports of people knocking on doors in Invermay purporting to be from the Council and advising residents that flooding of the area was imminent and that they should evacuate their homes.

Police kept busy with floods

Tasmania Police have been kept busy around the state today, with a number of roads closed and homes evacuated due to rising river and dam levels and increased water on the roads.

Damage to motor vehicles in Newstead

Police are investigating damage to at least 12 vehicles which were parked in the Newstead area in the early hours of Tuesday 11th of January 2011.
