Armed Robbery Lutana

On Sunday the 16th October 2011 at approximately 8.40pm, the manager of the Culloden Ave Store in Lutana was getting ready to close the store when three men entered wearing balaclavas.

Hobart Police have charged a male youth with the vessel burglaries reported last week.

Boat Burglaries – Victoria Dock

During the evening of 10th October a number of vessels moored at Victoria Dock were entered, damaged and had property stolen.

At about 16:45hrs on Sunday 9th October, police were called to a report of a serious driving incident on McKellar Road, Launceston.

Cradle Mountain Rescue – update

Around 0700hrs Tuesday 11 October the police rescue helicopter was tasked to the Overland Track, in response to an EPIRB activation.

A rescue team is at New Pelion Hut at Cradle Mountain National Park to assist an injured bushwalker.

Police attended a protest at Joy Road, Upper Blessington, which was reported about 7.15 this morning.

LockTober 2011

A joint initiative between Crime Stoppers Tasmania and Neighbourhood Watch Tasmania, LockTober is a month long campaign (launched on 3 October) to raise awareness of the risks associated with the security of property and personal items.
