A 23 year old male from Shorewell Park appeared in an out of hours sitting of the Burnie Magistrates Court on 5 July 2011, charged with Burglary and Stealing.

Detectives from Fraud & e-Crime Investigation Services and the Hobart Criminal Investigation Branch have extradited a man from NSW.

Body located on Actaeon Island

Police advise the body of a man has been found on the shore of the northern end of Actaeon Island, off Southport.

On Tuesday the 28th of June, 2011, police arrested a 26 year old male in the Hobart area for numerous offences.

At about 11:25pm on 27 June 2011, the business premises City Bike Centre, located at Don Road in Devonport, was unlawfully entered and goods stolen.

Abalone trafficking charges

A 32-year-old female from Southern Tasmania has been charged with the illegal trafficking of abalone meat with an approximate value of $30,000.

At approximately 10:15am on Thursday 23/6/11 Ambulance Tasmania activated the Tasmania Police Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Nubeena.
