During early hours of Saturday 3rd November 2012, a grey Mitsubishi outlander was stolen from the Lauderdale area and used in a theft from the Hogs Breath Cafe, Hobart.

The driver of a vehicle spotted fishtailling up Chapel Street was arrested and charged for using his vehicle for a sustained loss of traction.

Opening of the Rock Lobster Fishing Season

Tasmania Police will be out in force this weekend for the commencement of the recreational rock lobster fishing season for 2012-13. Under the state’s marine laws the first crayfish pots can be pulled after midnight on Saturday, 3 November 2012.

Tasmania Police and Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) are urging recreational fishers to stay safe on the water and be aware of the rules and regulations relating to recreational rock lobster fishing when the season opens on Saturday 3rd November 2012.
