Hobart Detectives have charged a 35 year old South Hobart man with Arson as a result of a fire at a unit in Miles Street early this morning.

Drug and firearms seizures in North West

Police searches in Turners Beach and Devonport have resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of crystal methyl amphetamine , some firearms, ammunition and clandestine laboratory chemicals and equipment.

Pedestrian hit by car on Midland Highway

A 30 year old man is in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Hobart Hospital after being hit by a car on the Midland Highway this morning.

A 16-year-old youth has been charged in relation to property and motor vehicle crimes committed over the past two months.

At 4.56pm 15 May 2012 Tasmania Police were notified that a two vehicle collision had occurred at East Devonport.

Charges after Burnie fire

Approximately 0130hrs on May 16th 2012 two male youths entered a heritage train carriage at Marine Terrace, Burnie, and lit a fire.
