U-Turn Program – Course 41 Graduation

A Glenorchy man whose car was stolen and burnt out is the recipient of a vehicle that has been restored by the graduates of U-Turn Course 41. Today (28 March) seven participants will graduate, following 10 weeks of hard work.

Tasmania Police officer charged with assault and sexual offences

A police officer was arrested and charged today with Rape, Attempted Rape, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault and 5 counts of Assault; all charges are criminal offences under the Criminal Code.

Robbery Lenah Valley Food Market

During the early hours of Tuesday 26 March 2013 offenders have stolen a 1986 cream coloured Volvo Sedan from Poets Road in West Hobart.

Backpacker found safe and well.

Tasmania Police wish to advise that Margarida FARINHA has been located safe and well. She was spotted by a worker at Freycinet National Park and has since been sighted by police at about 1.45pm today. Tasmania Police wish to sincerely thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
