In the early hours of 25 August 2011 a residence at 5 Tahara Court Ravenswood was significantly damaged by arson causing in excess of $100,000 damage.

After an extensive police investigation a 19 year old Ravenswood man was charged with arson on 31 August 2011 relating to the fire at this residence. 

He was remanded for after hours court at the Launceston Magistrates Court at 8pm 31 August 2011.
