Approximately 11.50pm Friday 12 October 2012, an assault occurred at the intersection of Castray Esplanade and Salamanca Place, Hobart (opposite the silos), within the immediate vicinity of a white Toyota maxi-taxi, which was parked.

Police have received information that an altercation occurred between two males, during which one of the males was struck to the head multiple times with a glass bottle.

As a result of the assault, one of the males received a number of cuts and abrasions to his face.

Police are investigating and are appealing witnesses who may have seen the incident occurring.
