At approximately 7:50 pm on Tuesday the 27^th August, 2013 police were notified of an attempted armed robbery of a Metro Bus on Killarney Road at Bridgewater.

During the incident the male bus driver has stopped at a bus stop on Killarney Road to pick up a passenger.  At that time a youth aged between 14 -16years standing at the bus stop has entered the bus holding a knife.  He demanded money from the driver and threatened him with the knife before fleeing the area without any money.  The driver was not injured during the incident.
