An investigation is underway after a body was located in the Hobart Rivulet, near Molle Street, late this afternoon.
A person walking on the rivulet track contacted police around 4.30pm to report a deceased woman in the water.
The area has been closed and Police, including detectives and specialist resources, are at the scene. People are asked to avoid the area.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the death.
Anyone with information about this matter, or who saw a woman in her early 30s in the rivulet area between Molle Street and Warneford Street on Friday 26 September is asked to contact police on 131 444.
