Concern for Welfare
Tasmania Police are investigating the discovery of human remains at a reserve in Kingston.
The body a newborn baby was found just before 9.30 this morning in bushland at a park in Willow Avenue, between Hawthorn Drive and Willow Avenue.
Police are concerned for the welfare of the mother and would like anyone who may know her identity to contact them so assistance can be provided.
It appears the remains may have been in the reserve for some time.
Tasmania Police forensics officers, CIB and SES are attending the site.
An information command post has been established in Willow Avenue. Police would like anyone with information to either contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or visit the information post.
