A short time ago the weather at Cradle Mountain lifted and the police Westpac rescue helicopter was able to airlift the 2 people who activated the EPIRB this morning.

The 46 year old man had a back injury.  He had been walking with his daughter.

The pair were airlifted from Scott-Kilbert Hut and will be flown back to Hobart.
