Emergency services respond to loose car park sail cloth at shopping centre

Police, Tasmania Fire Service and State Emergency Service Tasmania are responding to an incident where a carpark roof sail cloth became loose in the windy conditions and landed on approximately 8 vehicles.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the Glebe Hill Shopping Centre on Hobart’s eastern shore about 12 noon.
No one was injured during the incident, however a number of vehicles received minor damage.
TFS and SES crews secured the sail cloth with ropes and police remain on the scene to ensure public safety.
