A 33 year old man has been charged with murder after the suspicious death of a woman at a property in Montagu Bay, on Hobart’s eastern shore, yesterday.

Detectives from South East Criminal Investigation Branch last night charged the man after earlier responding to a concern for welfare at a private residence just before 2.30pm yesterday where they located a woman’s body.
A crime scene was declared and the man was subsequently arrested and charged.
The man, of no fixed address, was charged with one count of murder and was detained to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court this afternoon.
